AMPHITHEATRE CONCEPT STUDY

The Santa Monica College Amphitheatre Concept Study is a study project to design an amphitheatre for performance and classroom use in the heart of the campus.

With amazing weather, and prior to Covid concerns, the College wanted a space that could be used by the Dance and Theatre Departments, along with very active student organizations on campus. They also programmed it to be used as an outdoor classroom space, for general and theatre instruction.

Workling closedly with the College and potential constituents, TheatreDNA provided in-depth programming and planning efforts, working closely with the Gehry Partners design team.
