WILSHIRE BOULEVARD TEMPLE
AUDREY IRMAS PAVILION
Los Angeles, California
An important piece of the Los Angeles cultural tapestry for over a century, Wilshire Boulevard Temple desired to add an event and meeting facility to their Wilshire Boulevard campus. The result is the dynamic and iconic 55,000 sq ft Audrey Irmas Pavilion.
The Pavilion is home to a large flexible event space that will host art exhibits, cinema, trade shows and meetings, in addition to the typical cultural and entertainment events. The facility also has smaller event spaces, meeting facilities, and the Wallis Annenberg GenSpace, a community space for the aging.
The large event space contains a reimagining of the typical event space, with side catwalks, and a system of distributed strong points and a chain motor control system, in addition to a performance lighting power and control system.
TheatreDNA provided full event space planning and design, and performance equipment design and specification services.
