NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY LAS CRUCES
MEDOFF THEATRE
Las Cruces, New Mexico
This 450-seat theatre is designed for the University's theatre and dance department use, as well as their professional company, the American Southwest Theatre Company.
An intimate two-balcony space, the theatre features an acrylic mural called "Magic Hour" painted by renowned mural artist Meg Saligman.
There is a full counterweight fly system, an orchestra pit lift, and a trap platform system at the center of the stage.
In addition to a costume shop, offices, and a scenic repair shop, the facility also features a glass-walled rehearsal room.
Michael Ferguson provided theatre planning, theatre design, and performance equipment design and specification as individual effort while at a previous firm.
